Cargo Group premises are also home to the first private “Bonded Container Freight Station” [customs depot] in Greece.

The station features all benefits of a customs warehouse but also offers the following unique service: laden containers with short term storage products may remain at Cargo Group’s customs depot, within the containers, without their owners having to pay unloading costs (the container may be transported as is for unloading, for example to another warehouse if wished by the customer) and at the same time, owners pay 70% cheaper storage rates with respect to what they would pay if they left the container in the Port of Piraeus.

This is a unique service for a private logistics service provider in Greece.

The facility (covering 25,000 sq.m) is also equipped with an advanced laden container handler, like the ones used in large ports, an investment of around €250.000.
